Multistreaming helps TheBurntPeanut beat Pekora & IronMouse as 2025’s most-watched VTuber

The VTuber known as ‘TheBurntPeanut’ quickly became the most-watched streamer of 2025, surpassing popular names like Pekora and IronMouse.

TheBurntPeanut is just as quirky as his name suggests. He’s a Twitch streamer who streams while using a face filter – similar to those on Snapchat – that transforms his appearance into a peanut. You can still see his real eyes and mouth, but they’re noticeably larger than life.

He’s gained a large following on Twitch – over 1.5 million people tune in to watch his gameplay in games like Arc Raiders and Escape from Tarkov. His popularity was recently recognized when he won VTuber of the Year at the 2025 Streamer Awards, beating out well-known creators like chibidoki, IronMouse, and Mori Calliope.

He first gained a lot of attention in late 2025 with a popular online event called ‘battle of the Bungulators’ in Arc Raiders. Since then, he’s become incredibly popular, surpassing other leading VTubers and becoming the most-watched VTuber of last year.

TheBurntPeanut crowned 2025’s most-watched VTuber

Okay, so I was checking out the stats for last year, and TheBurntPeanut totally dominated on Twitch! Apparently, people watched his streams for over 60.2 million hours in 2025. That’s insane! To put it in perspective, Sakura Miko, who came in second, had around 49.3 million hours watched – still a huge number, but almost 11 million hours behind Peanut. Seriously, that’s a lot of time people spent watching those two!

Usada Pekora came in third with 47.5 million hours viewed, while Kuzuha earned 38.6 million and Ozora Subaru reached 24.7 million.

StreamsCharts says TheBurntPeanut’s success as a VTuber is due to his strategy of streaming on multiple platforms – Twitch, YouTube, and Kick – which helps him reach a much larger audience.

Most of his viewers tune in on Twitch, accounting for over half (50.5%) of his total audience. YouTube is also popular, attracting almost half (48.3%). Kick makes up a very small portion, just 1.2%, of the total time people spend watching his content.

Okay, so TheBurntPeanut being considered a VTuber has been a really big deal – and not in a good way for some people. When he actually won an award at the 2025 Streamer Awards, it blew up online. There was a ton of arguing about whether he should have even been in the category, and it got even more intense when IronMouse, a huge name in the VTubing world, stepped in to defend him. It’s been a messy situation, honestly.

Peanut has strongly defended the situation, responding to criticism and describing IronMouse’s detractors as “men in their 40s pretending to be young anime fans.”
