MrBeast vows to fix Beast Games Season 2 cliffhanger backlash

The season 2 finale of Beast Games ended with a cliffhanger that upset many viewers, prompting MrBeast to respond and assure fans he’ll address the issue before the final episode airs.

In the latest episode of the Prime Video competition, the 10 remaining contestants attempt to make deals and convince others to ensure they advance to the final six. While the first five players who will move forward are determined, the episode concludes before the identity of the sixth is revealed.

Many episodes of Beast Games Season 2 have ended with suspenseful cliffhangers, which has frustrated some viewers. However, the cliffhanger at the end of the most recent episode has been called particularly frustrating, since it’s the season finale and everyone already plans to watch to see who wins the $5 million prize.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, previously discussed this problem in a Reddit Q&A session. He’s now responding again after more criticism arose from the sudden ending of Episode 9.

MrBeast responds to Beast Games Season 2 cliffhanger complaint

MrBeast responded to criticism about using cliffhangers at the end of episodes, promising that he and his team will avoid doing that in Season 3 of Beast Games.

IM SORRY LESS CLIFFHANGERS IN SEASON 3 I SWEAR 😭

Gaming YouTuber AdamAsta shared a suggestion on X (formerly Twitter) about Beast Games. While praising the show, he mentioned that he’d prefer it if the cliffhangers weren’t saved for the very end of each season.

By then, we’re already hooked and planning to watch the next episode, which makes any potential impact of the issue less important overall.

MrBeast promised fewer cliffhangers in Season 3, apologizing with a crying face emoji.

This isn’t the first time he’s addressed this issue. During a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session on the Beast Games subreddit, a fan asked if the show could use fewer cliffhangers, explaining that while a few at the beginning are understandable, they become frustrating once viewers are invested in the story.

I’m not sure what’s happening with the viewership numbers, but the way things are set up makes me want to wait until several episodes are available and then watch them all at once.

The YouTuber asked for fewer cliffhangers in the next season! Thankfully, Season 3 is happening on Prime Video, so hopefully, that issue will be fixed when it’s released.

The show is also changing how it finds contestants. MrBeast is now looking for people from around the world who truly represent their nation’s values and personality.

Jimmy hinted at this during a recent Q&A session. When someone asked if a future season might include international contestants to increase diversity, he playfully responded with a “Just you wait and see!” type of message.

The season finale of Beast Games, Episode 10, arrives on Prime Video February 25th. Before then, you can learn what Player 148 did with his $1.8 million prize, why Player 21 had to leave the competition, and who the experts are predicting will win Season 2.
