Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast on YouTube, has addressed fans of the K-pop group NewJeans who have been asking him to help them.
Because MrBeast frequently gives away large sums of money in his YouTube videos, he’s become a popular target for people online hoping to win some of it and purchase items they want.
Donaldson joined a group of investors hoping to purchase TikTok’s U.S. operations. After Elon Musk bought Twitter (now X), Donaldson was also considered as a potential CEO for the platform.
K-pop fans of the group NewJeans have been using the hashtag #MrBeastSaveNewJeans on social media. This comes as a legal dispute unfolds between the group’s record label, ADOR, and Danielle Marsh, a member of NewJeans, regarding a potential penalty for breaking her contract.
MrBeast wants to “understand” viral requests to ‘save’ NewJeans
I was listening to MrBeast on a stream with JasonTheWeen, and he said someone is suing her for a massive $30 million! And apparently, they want him to buy the whole group – it’s crazy!
The YouTuber wondered if the items were being sold, explaining they were repeatedly asked for help but didn’t know what was expected. They questioned if the purpose was simply to raise awareness about the items.
Jason told Jimmy that unless he owned HYBE, the entertainment company behind ADOR, there wasn’t much he could do. He added that becoming the owner of HYBE wasn’t going to happen.

The popular YouTuber also posted about it on X, formerly known as Twitter, after K-pop fans began spreading the word about the campaign.
“What do I need to do?” Donaldson asked.

As Jason noted, Jimmy can’t really fix the current issues with NewJeans, but he is helping to raise awareness about them.
It’s still unclear how the current legal battle will turn out, especially since ADOR previously won a case in October. That earlier ruling meant NewJeans was legally obligated to continue working with the label until their contract ends in 2029.
