In a surprising turn of events, MrBeast increased the prize for the last six competitors in the Beast Games by an additional $5 million, possibly raising it to a grand total of $10 million.
As the final Beast Games episode approaches, the competition has become more demanding. Recognizing the strong bonds that formed among the 1,000 participants throughout the process, MrBeast designed games to assess the level of loyalty each player had towards their fellow contestants.
In the episodes leading up to the final showdown on February 13th, some participants were removed when their team suffered a loss in a challenge, while others chose to depart after receiving an offer from MrBeast. As the competition heated up, MrBeast raised the ante by allowing each contestant to decide whether they or their friends would continue in the show.
Despite it appearing that the most challenging aspect of Beast Games had passed following the top six players making decisions they weren’t thrilled about, MrBeast opted to push the players even further.
In the second challenge of episode 9, MrBeast increased the prize money from $5 million to a staggering $10 million. Yet, he had no intention of letting the last six competitors off lightly; he wanted them to earn it.
Beast Games player #974 flips coin to decide if prize would double
At that moment, MrBeast unveiled a golden coin. He shared with the participants that for the reward to be doubled, one of them needed to correctly guess which side of the coin would land face-up when flipped.
If they turn out to be wrong, they’ll immediately exit the Beast Games. Yet, despite the risk of elimination, the competitors pondered whether to hold onto the $5M, or attempt to double it instead.
Without knowing much about our rivals, the players quietly devised their strategies among themselves until one participant took the lead to call heads or tails on a coin toss.
As confident as can be, I boldly declared tails. “This feels like my moment to take a risk,” I said. “Let’s go with my gut and choose tails.
The episode concluded without showing the character flipping the coin, leaving viewers in suspense as they wondered whether the reward would rise to $10 Million or remain at $5 Million.
To catch the grand finale where the show’s prizes will be unveiled, fans can tune into Beast Games, airing on Prime, this coming Thursday, the 13th of February.
