Popular YouTuber MrBeast recently appeared on the show Hot Ones and managed to finish all ten increasingly spicy sauces. However, he cautioned anyone considering the challenge that it’s incredibly painful and ‘not worth it’.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, and Sean Evans, host of the show Hot Ones, have met at many events over the years. Despite becoming the most-subscribed creator on YouTube in 2022, MrBeast hadn’t been a guest on Hot Ones until now.
Everything shifted on February 5, 2026, when Donaldson faced the challenge of eating progressively hotter hot wings and answering the host Evans’ famously detailed questions.
MrBeast confessed he was initially very scared of the hot wings, and that fear was a big reason he’d avoided being on the Hot Ones show for so long.
Went on Hot Ones, I never eat spicy food so it was pretty rough not gonna lie lol

MrBeast admits he was “terrified” of Hot Ones challenge
Although Donaldson usually avoids spicy food because it bothers him, he surprisingly tried all the sauces, with a little assistance from others.
During the challenge, the YouTuber drank a lot of chocolate milk, ice water, and vanilla ice cream. He said it felt like his tongue was burning and that he was going to be sick.
After finishing the challenge, Evans praised MrBeast and asked if he had any closing remarks about taking part. He was curious what advice MrBeast would give his future self if he were to consider being on the show again.
He was totally kidding, but he said, “Don’t even bother!” and kept repeating that it just wasn’t worth it – whatever ‘it’ was! He made sure to mention Sean was a good guy, but still, not worth it. Apparently, he’d had a really bad experience with spicy food and declared he’s done with it forever!
MrBeast successfully completed the Hot Ones challenge, a feat that some other celebrities haven’t managed. Ice Spice couldn’t finish, stopping right before the end, and DJ Khaled famously tapped out after just three sauces, saying the wings were too spicy and he wasn’t enjoying the experience.
MrBeast thought about buying Hot Ones in early 2025, but decided against it, as Sean Evans hadn’t approached him about a sale. Looking back, that might have been a good thing, considering Evans ended up purchasing the show from Buzzfeed for a hefty $82.5 million.
