Most-Watched Super Bowl Ads 2025: Muppets, Bill Murray, Glen Powell and Kieran Culkin’s Genius Beluga Land in YouTube Top 10

The 2025 Super Bowl was dominated by the Philadelphia Eagles, who defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22. This win prevented KC from achieving a third consecutive title. With the game being rather predictable, many TV viewers might have preferred the commercials broadcast on Fox, which were sold for around $8 million per ad.

On Sunday, the most popular Super Bowl advertisement was by Booking.com, which showcased Jim Henson’s beloved Muppets, joining ordinary humans, all searching for the ultimate vacation package. In 2024 and 2023 respectively, Booking.com’s ads featuring Tina Fey and Melissa McCarthy were also the most-watched Super Bowl advertisements on YouTube.

Once again, during this year’s Super Bowl, humor and famous personalities stood out amidst the advertising chaos. The fifth spot was taken by the trailer for Marvel’s upcoming film, “Thunderbolts”.

Simultaneously, Kendrick Lamar, who was this year’s headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show, ranked second on YouTube’s most-watched artists list (right after Bad Bunny) in the week leading up to the Super Bowl. Moreover, his song “Not Like Us” climbed to No. 3 on YouTube’s Top Daily Music Videos chart. On Sunday, views on Kendrick Lamar’s official YouTube channel saw a three-fold increase compared to a week ago (Feb. 3), as reported by the video platform.

In the Super Bowl LIX, I was among those who were searching for “the biggest comeback in NFL history” after the Chiefs found themselves trailing the Eagles 24-0 at halftime. The curiosity also peaked as searches like “has there ever been a shutout in the superbowl” skyrocketed by an astonishing 2600% during the first half (for your information, it has never happened). To put things into perspective, the interest in “biggest blowout” reached an all-time high following the Super Bowl score, with Super Bowl XXIV being the most memorable instance where the 49ers defeated the Broncos 55-10.
