Mortal Kombat 1 Adds A Secret Fight Against Pink Floyd, Kind Of

In simpler terms, Conan The Barbarian was added as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1 recently, but it appears there’s another new fighter worth watching too. It seems NetherRealm Studios has hidden a fight with a pink ninja called Floyd, which is a nod to the legendary 70s rock band Pink Floyd.

1) On the Living Forest stage, hints about Floyd, a notorious character with rose-tinted lining, started surfacing for some players like YouTube personality Super, who claimed to spot his name in pink letters after winning a game there. Now that Conan has been unveiled, players are coming across Floyd on a fresh, open stage devoid of any prior content.

In a subsequent YouTube video, content creator Dynasty revealed that Floyd may unexpectedly show up prior to matches to provide hints about activating the fight. A total of 37 potential clues were discovered and discussed in the video by dataminers. Here are some examples of these hints:

1. The first clue involves a specific combination of symbols found on the map.
2. Another clue is related to the time displayed in the game’s clock.
3. A third clue might be a unique sound or noise heard during the match.

  • “No Luna”
  • “Keep Kalm & Finish”
  • “Hat Trick”
  • “Sans Jade”
  • “This Is Where You Fall Down”

Previously, battles hidden within the Mortal Kombat universe have been a part of the franchise. The original game offered players an encounter with the green ninja Reptile, and MKII employed a Living Forest stage to hint at its concealed characters. Interestingly, Floyd is the second character in the series themed around music, following the debut of the purple ninja Rain, who was inspired by Prince’s iconic song Purple Rain in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

You can now play Mortal Kombat 1 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Additionally, the Khaos Reigns expansion, which includes characters like Conan The Barbarian, Ghostface, and the rest of Kombat Pass 2, is available for every platform.
