We’re making big improvements to Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, and it’s all thanks to the feedback from players like you during Steam Next Fest! We’ve listened to thousands of merchants and are rolling out key updates before the Early Access launch on November 19th.

Want to try out the changes firsthand? Join our Steam playtest starting October 10th – everyone is welcome!

Shopkeeping, your way

Your shop is still central to the game, and you have complete control over how it’s run. We’ve brought back a popular feature: you can now set your own prices for every item – a seemingly small change that makes a big difference. Players told us that being able to decide prices is a crucial part of the experience.

Plus, the shops have been updated! Now you’ll find regular customers, a calendar that changes what items people want, and decorations that give you special advantages while playing. Shopping is now much more strategic and interesting.

A smarter backpack

We’ve updated how backpacks work. Instead of seeing set prices while in dungeons, items called relics now have a quality rating. This rating affects how much they sell for back at your shop. This change makes finding good items more exciting and encourages you to try different things, all while keeping the familiar inventory system you enjoy.

Dungeons with deeper choices

The game now features a dynamic map system that adds depth and intrigue to every adventure. As you play, the path ahead is gradually revealed, allowing you to plan your strategy while still leaving some areas hidden and full of potential. Expect to find challenging choices, hidden secrets, and exciting quests – all designed to recapture the feeling of discovery that made the original game so special.

If you’re excited to try out these updates, you won’t have to wait much longer! A new playtest begins on Steam October 10th. You can sign up on the game’s Steam page or by joining the Moonlighter Discord server.
