Capcom has shared that there will be another Open Beta Test for Monster Hunter Wilds taking place in February, divided into two timeframes. During this event, a new monster will be introduced, giving players another opportunity to experience the game as the development team continues refining it for its official release.

The second Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test is scheduled for February 6 through February 9 and again from February 13 to February 16. During this test, players can expect to encounter a new monster called Gypceros, along with all the content from the previous Open Beta Test. However, Capcom has clarified that certain performance adjustments, weapon modifications, hitstop improvements, or quality of life enhancements mentioned in their recent Pre-Launch Community Update will not be implemented during this test. This event will be accessible on all three platforms and crossplay will be supported.

Participating in Monster Hunter World Open Beta Test 2 grants you specific perks in the complete game, such as: the Plush Felyne Teddy Pendant and the OBT 2 Bonus Item Package. The beta session details are provided below, and no PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription (either Core or Ultimate) is required to join this event on your console.

On February 28, 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds will launch globally across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) platforms. For a sneak peek at the game, check out Alex’s review here.
