MLB The Show 26 Guide – How to Change Positions in RTTS

Want to switch positions in MLB The Show 26’s Road to the Show? It’s possible, but many players aren’t sure how, when, or what it costs. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about changing positions in RTTS. Let’s get started!

How Do You Change Positions in RTTS? MLB The Show 26 Guide

To change your position in MLB 26 Road To The Show, you must:

  • Enter RTTS
  • Select the Message Box on the top right corner of the screen
  • Notify your Manager/Agent/Position Coach that you’re not satisfied with the team
    • You may actually receive this message throughout your career
  • Wait roughly 1-2 weeks to see if your Manager changed your position

I’m really excited about the new position change system in MLB The Show 26! It’s way more streamlined this year. Basically, if I’m not happy with where I’m playing, I can just let my manager or position coach know. Then, I get to choose whether I want a full-time switch to a new position (Primary) or just some extra time there (Secondary). The best part? I don’t have to wait for the team to reach out to me – I’m in control!

Sometimes, I don’t even have to initiate contact. Occasionally, the team will reach out to me and ask how things are going, like a satisfaction check-in. Honestly, whether I’m reaching out or they’re reaching out, it’s all about letting them know if I’m happy with how things are progressing.

It takes time for changes to your position to take effect. Updates to the team lineup don’t happen instantly – it could take a week or two, or even longer. Also, your request might not be approved, so you may need to submit it again at a later date.

As a player, I’ve learned that switching roles isn’t always easy. Some roles are locked off depending on where you currently are, and honestly, every time you try a new position, your stats take a bit of a hit. It’s something you really need to think about before you decide to change things up!

Switching positions in RTTS can sometimes help players improve or rediscover their enjoyment of the game. However, if a simple change isn’t enough, you might want to think about creating a brand new player. Either way, we hope your position change request goes smoothly!
