I’ve been watching Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force, and it really feels like Kagami’s story takes center stage. While it definitely introduces the upcoming Miraculous Stellar Force spinoff series, it does so through the lens of Kagami’s history and experiences. It’s her journey that’s driving everything, and the new series feels like a natural extension of that.

Her presence, particularly in Tokyo, is central to the story and shapes it in a powerful and obvious way.

I absolutely loved how much focus Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force gave to Kagami’s story – it really made the movie feel special as a fan of hers! Though, I will admit, it meant we didn’t get to see quite as much of the whole Miraculous Stellar Force team in action. But honestly, that’s okay! They all have their own series coming up soon, so it’s nice that this film could really spotlight Kagami’s development.

Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force’s New Heroes are Perfectly Imperfect

The Miraculous Stellar Force has twelve members, each representing a sign of the zodiac. However, only five of these characters are developed enough for viewers to really get to know them. Even among those five, only three truly stand out. Despite the others remaining largely in the background, this hasn’t proven to be a significant problem.

The characters in Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force who drive the main story are complex and well-developed, with clear motivations, beliefs, and flaws. This depth makes them compelling and gives fans even more reason to anticipate the new Miraculous Stellar Force spinoff series.

I have to say, Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force really stood out to me – it might be the best of the Miraculous World movies so far, and not by a little bit! The way the characters interact is so well done, the story moves at a good pace, and the animation is truly beautiful. Plus, the direction is just flawless. What really got me was the backstory between Kazuno and Kagami – it’s genuinely sad. And seeing Miki constantly push the team to be better created a lot of tension throughout the film, which kept me hooked.

The heart of what makes the Miraculous franchise so popular – its focus on characters and their stories – is strongly present throughout Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force. While villains like the Modeler and his kaiju are exciting, and will likely be a memorable part of Miraculous Stellar Force, the most lasting impressions will probably come from the moments shared by characters like Leo, Capricorn, and Pili.

While the Miraculous Stellar Force might seem similar to the Power Rangers, they’re a very different team. They struggle with internal problems – things like lack of trust, feeling like they don’t belong, and confusion about their roles in battle. Despite these challenges, they can still pull together and succeed, though they sometimes need guidance from more seasoned heroes.

The Stakes Have Never Been Higher Than in Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force

Fans have another reason to look forward to the 2027 release of Miraculous Stellar Force: the growing threat of Supreme. Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force aims to highlight this danger, and it also unexpectedly builds towards a significant and even more frightening conflict in the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir series.

The biggest weakness of Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force is that it doesn’t welcome new viewers. While someone unfamiliar with Miraculous might still enjoy the movie, they’ll likely be confused by many things. It’s clear this special was made for existing fans and doesn’t offer much help for those just discovering the series.

This is particularly concerning because Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force is designed as a standalone spin-off within the larger Miraculous universe. The problem isn’t that new viewers won’t enjoy Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force; it’s that they probably won’t be motivated to explore other content in the Miraculous franchise afterward.

Although Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is aimed at a younger audience, it’s surprisingly complex.
