‘Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir’ Season 6 Sets January U.S. Premiere on Disney Channel XD With Revamped Designs (EXCLUSIVE)

The highly anticipated sixth season of the popular animated superhero series “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,” which takes place in Paris, is scheduled to make its U.S. debut on January 25th.

The upcoming season will make its debut on both Disney Channel and Disney XD simultaneously at 11 am Eastern Time/Pacific Time. The global release will start during the first three months of 2025.

The Miraculous tale centers on the dual identities of Marinette and Adrien, who appear to be typical high school students but secretly assume the roles of superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to safeguard their beloved city, Paris. In the storyline, Marinette and Adrien’s relationship deepens as they face shocking disclosures and unexpected hurdles. Meanwhile, their superhero personas encounter their strongest adversary yet.

Starting from season six, we’ll be utilizing Unreal Engine for the first time – a powerful tool for creating realistic 3D environments that can bring captivating and life-like storytelling to the screen. Moreover, Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp based in L.A., shared this update on our character designs with EbMaster in October.

Maria Doolan, who is in charge of content collaborations and distribution at Miraculous Corp., stated that the debut of season six aligns with the 10th anniversary of the Miraculous brand and brings a thrilling new phase to the franchise.

This season showcases characters who have grown and changed, with updated appearances that reflect their development, and a daring new plotline intertwines themes of bravery and self-confidence that still resonate with fans young and old. Disney has played a significant role in making ‘Miraculous’ accessible to audiences around the world, and we can’t wait to join viewers everywhere in celebrating this remarkable achievement.” (Doolan added.)

The production of seasons six and seven of “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” are being done jointly with Disney Branded Television, Globosat from Brazil, KidsMe in Italy, and TF1 from France. At the moment, season seven is being made for a scheduled release in 2026.

In related updates, the fourth television special for the franchise titled “Miraculous World: London at the Edge of Time” was broadcast on November 28, simultaneously on Disney Channel and Disney+’s U.S. platforms.

Originating from the minds of Thomas Astruc, Nathanaël Bronn, and Jeremy Zag, this popular franchise has already produced five seasons, accessible in 150 different nations. Additionally, it includes three television movies and a full-length film titled “Miraculous, The Movie,” which is among the most-viewed French animated films globally.

The Miraculous Corporation is formed as a partnership between Pierre-Antoine Capton’s Mediawan (known for “The Count of Monte Cristo”) and the autonomous animation studio, ZAG, headed by Jeremy Zag.
