During the February 2026 Sony State of Play, Yacht Club Games announced that their game, Mina the Hollower, will be released in Spring 2026. They also revealed a limited-time demo for PlayStation 5, available from February 13th to February 26th. The demo will let players experience the beginning of the game, up to and including the first boss, and progress can be carried over to the full game upon release.
Okay, so I was really hyped for Mina the Hollower, and it was supposed to come out on October 31st, 2025. But then, right at the start of October, they announced it was delayed. They said they just needed a little more time to polish things up and get the gameplay balanced perfectly. Apparently, things haven’t been super smooth during development – Bloomberg actually interviewed the folks at Yacht Club Games last December and they talked about all the challenges they faced over the years getting the game made.
You can watch the new trailer for Mina the Hollower below. Hopefully, we’ll get a confirmed release date soon! The game is planned to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam), Switch, and the upcoming Switch 2.
Yacht Club Games revealed during today’s State of Play presentation that their new action adventure game, Mina the Hollower, is scheduled to release in Spring 2026.
Yacht Club Games is nearing completion of Mina, their biggest game yet, after over six years of development. The game features a huge, detailed world with more content than their entire Shovel Knight collection. Players can expect to battle over 25 bosses, find 60 unique items, improve their weapons, level up their character, unlock a New Game Plus mode, and customize their experience with many gameplay options. Polishing a game this expansive has taken time, but the release is almost here.
Yacht Club Games will share the official release date as soon as they’ve finished submitting the game to all console platforms and finalized the launch plans.
