The last season of Stranger Things starts streaming this month, but the release has been surrounded by some drama, including reports of tension between cast members like Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour, who play on-screen father and daughter.
At the premiere of Stranger Things Season 5, Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour showed there’s no bad blood between them with a warm hug on the red carpet, dismissing recent rumors of a feud. Netflix is livestreaming the premiere event for fans worldwide. Reports had suggested Harbour might skip the event following accusations reported by the Daily Mail and issues with his estranged wife, Lily Allen.
Neither Brown nor Harbour has publicly addressed the rumors of a disagreement between them. These rumors began after reports surfaced that Brown filed a harassment complaint against Harbour, alleging bullying. Harbour has largely skipped promotional events, likely due to the allegations, but he is currently working on other projects, including the sequel to Violent Night.
The popular sci-fi series Stranger Things, which draws heavily from 1980s culture, first appeared on Netflix in 2016 and is now concluding with its final season. Its impact has been huge, spawning spin-off shows, merchandise, and more. The series notably features ’80s stars like Winona Ryder, Sean Astin, and Linda Hamilton, and its soundtrack—including Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”—became a global hit all over again.
Neither Brown nor Harbour has publicly addressed the recent reports of a disagreement, but their public display of affection suggests everything is fine between them. Similarly, Netflix and the creators of the show, The Duffer Brothers, haven’t commented on the issues surrounding the upcoming final season.
I’m so excited for the final season of Stranger Things! The Duffer Brothers are releasing it in two parts this time. Volume 1 is coming out on November 26th, and then Volume 2 on December 25th. But get this – the very last episode, the finale, will finally air on December 31st! I’ve already marked my calendar!
