He pointed out that many see these platforms as separate, but Microsoft originally created the Xbox console as a way to improve the PC gaming experience. Nadella wants to challenge the idea of treating them as distinct, while also acknowledging the unique and exceptional experience offered by the console itself. He expressed excitement for the future of Xbox consoles.

Satya Nadella believes Xbox’s biggest challenge isn’t other game consoles, but short-form videos, and suggests new kinds of interactive content might be needed to compete. He earned $96.5 million last year, mostly through stock options – about 480 times more than the typical Microsoft worker.
Man, things have been rough over at Microsoft lately. I’ve been seeing news about layoffs, games getting cancelled that I was really excited for, and even studios shutting down. Plus, they’ve been raising prices on both the Xbox consoles and Game Pass, which really stings. Apparently, a lot of people think Microsoft is pushing for way too much profit, and it’s actually hurting them in the long run. It’s a bummer to see, honestly.
Microsoft recently announced plans to add AI and voice control features to all Windows 11 computers. Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, also explained that Microsoft currently uses AI to improve security, not to help design games. However, it’s unclear if this approach will stay the same in the future.
