Nintendo is releasing three new Amiibo figures for Metroid Prime 4. Two versions of Samus will be available starting November 6th, and Sylux will launch on December 4th. Currently, Amazon is out of stock on two of the figures, and Walmart is sold out of the one that Amazon still has. More Metroid Games
Before you jump into Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, we strongly suggest playing Metroid Prime Remastered – it’s a top-tier Nintendo Switch game and will help you get ready for the new release. If you’re a fan of the original 2D Metroid games, Metroid Dread (on Switch) and Metroid: Samus Returns (on 3DS) are excellent choices. Samus Returns is a fantastic remake of an older title, but it didn’t get as much attention when it came out in 2017 after the Switch launched. Both Dread and Samus Returns were created by MercurySteam.
- Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch) — $40
- Metroid Dread (Switch) — $54 (
$60) - Metroid Dread (Import) — $47 (
$60) - Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS) — $49
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now play the original five Metroid games on both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The first three Metroid games – Metroid, Metroid II, and Super Metroid – are included with the standard Nintendo Switch Online membership, which costs $20 per year. If you want to play Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission, which originally launched on Game Boy Advance, you’ll need the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership for $50 a year.
For fans who want the full Metroid experience, PowerA has released a new wireless controller officially licensed and featuring artwork of Samus Aran and a galactic design. They’ve also created Metroid-themed earbuds, which come with a matching drawstring bag featuring artwork from the series.
