Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Confirmed With State Of Play Trailer

As a fervent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that, following an unintended leak, Konami finally confirmed during the February State of Play that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released on August 28. This remake of the iconic 2004 stealth-action game, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, even showcased a fresh trailer during State of Play, revisiting key scenes from the original before concluding with a tantalizing sneak peek at its collaboration with Ape Escape.

For this updated version, the narrative and narration stay consistent, but there are several fresh elements added. You’ll have the choice between a third-person perspective or the original Metal Gear Solid top-down view. Moreover, you’ll be able to swiftly adjust your camouflage using a quick-select button, potentially helping you stay concealed in challenging moments.

Nearly all the Easter eggs from the original game are present in the remake, along with some fresh discoveries labeled as GA-KOs. These elusive GA-KOs are skillfully camouflaged within the game’s environment, making them difficult to spot due to their subtle appearances.

Speaking of the playable characters in Ape Escape known as Pipo Monkeys, players get to experience the unique game mode called Snake vs. Monkey. In this mode, Snake is tasked with capturing these mischievous monkeys who enjoy taunting him. Interestingly, an Xbox trailer version of this game showcases Bomberman instead of Ape Escape’s Pipo Monkeys. Further information regarding this special game mode will be disclosed at a later time. Until then, it has been confirmed by Konami that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is compatible with the PS5 Pro console.

Those who pre-order Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater receive a unique bonus – a White Tuxedo costume for the character Snake. Additionally, there’s a Digital Deluxe Edition available, packed with the Stealth Pack DLC, extra content, and more. Purchasers of this edition will also enjoy a 48-hour early access advantage before the game’s official release.

Since the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Konami has been relatively tight-lipped about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Here’s what we do know: it will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles, but Hideo Kojima, the legendary game director, is not part of its development team. The game will also employ the original voice-acting recordings, and in a recent interview, it was disclosed that Jodi Benson, who voiced Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, provided the voice for the character Eva long ago.

Currently, Konami is quite occupied with numerous video game ventures. Although they aren’t actively working on a second remake of the original Metal Gear Solid at the moment, they have recently dipped back into the franchise through the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. Another collection, still without a specified release date, is also being developed.
