‘Men in Black,’ ‘Bill & Ted’ Writer Ed Solomon Signs With 42 (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned cinema enthusiast with a penchant for unraveling intricate narratives, the news of Ed Solomon joining 42 Management and Production Company has me absolutely thrilled! With his extensive portfolio that includes blockbusters like “Men in Black” and “Bill & Ted,” not to mention his collaboration with Steven Soderbergh on numerous projects, he brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the table.

Screenwriter and executive producer Ed Solomon, known for his impressive body of work including “Men in Black” and “Bill & Ted” movie franchises, has joined forces with the multi-location management and production company 42, based in London and Los Angeles.

In the near future, Solomon will work on two exciting projects:

Solomon is most recognized for creating the initial “Men in Black” and “Charlie’s Angels” movies, as well as all three installments of the “Bill & Ted” series: “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” and “Bill & Ted Face the Music.” Additionally, he has been involved in the development of the “Now You See Me” series, along with a variety of projects directed by his frequent collaborator Soderbergh, such as the HBO series “Full Circle,” “Mosaic,” and the feature film “No Sudden Move.

I’ve become part of the thriving roster at 42, a prestigious agency that represents some of today’s most influential voices in film. Among them are Jesse Armstrong (“Succession”), Julian Fellowes (“Downton Abbey”), Ralph Fiennes (“Conclave”), Anna Sawai (“Shogun”), Joe Penhall (“Mindhunter”), Nicholas Hoult (“Mad Max: Fury Road”), Charlie Brooker (“Black Mirror”), Lynne Ramsay (“You Were Never Really Here”), Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“1917”), Darius Marder (“Sound of Metal”), Abi Morgan (“The Iron Lady”), and Alena Smith (“Dickinson”), as well as Monica Beletsky (“Manhunt”). I’m honored to be in such esteemed company.

Solomon will continue to be represented by CAA.
