Mega Man Star Force 1 version differences
The first game in the trilogy, originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2007, introduces players to the core characters who appear throughout the series, including Geo, Omega-Xis, and various FMians. Star Force came in three different versions – Pegasus (blue), Leo (red), and Dragon (green) – each themed around a different satellite and elemental power: water, fire, and wood. While each version had unique content, the game’s ‘Brother Band’ system let you share benefits with friends who owned different versions. The games also included a training mode where you could earn exclusive battle cards, much like trading in the Battle Network series.
Mega Man Star Force 1 Exclusive Form changes
Similar to previous games, Mega Man can unlock a powerful special form that boosts his abilities. This form is unique to each game version and provides special advantages. However, by teaming up with friends who are playing different versions, you can access those other forms even while playing your own version.
Pegasus:
- Changes your charge shot into an aqua-element shot that freezes the enemy it hits
- Big Bang attack:
Leo:
- Changes your charge shot into a fire-element that shoots down and hits all enemies in a single column.
- Big Bang attack:
Dragon:
- Changes your charge shot into a wood-element multi-hit show that covers multiple columns, but does not pass through enemies.
- Mega Man becomes immune to most status effects
- Big Bang attack:

Mega Man Star Force 2 game version differences
Star Force 2 is different from the first game in how it handles options. While it offers three selectable versions, only two were actually released. Each version includes a choice between two different games: Zerker, and either Saurian or Ninja. Each of these combinations essentially functions as a separate save file. Many of the unique features found in the original Star Force also appear in the sequel, though with some changes.
Mega Man Star Force 2 Exclusive Form changes
Just like the original game, each version of this game features a special transformation called “Tribe On.” You can also unlock transformations from the other versions by connecting with friends who own them. If you connect with owners of both other versions, you’ll even unlock the super-powerful Tribe King form!
Zerker:
- Charge shot becomes Electric element and stuns enemies hit
- Charge cards to cause them to be used one after the next in a combo
- Able to select cards in your custom screen horizontally in addition to the usual vertical.
Saurian:
- Charge shot becomes Fire elemental and hits 4 panels at the same time.
- Charge a standard battle card to boost its damage.

- Charge standard battle cards to auto-lock onto an enemy that can get through the invisible status.
- Pressing Up and Shield will let you counter enemy attacks with a sword slash.
