Initially, during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct broadcast in Japan, they unveiled an exclusive preview of “Ryusei no Rockman Perfect Collection”, set to launch in 2026. However, not long after this, Capcom announced that they would be making this compilation available globally under the title “Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection“. This collection is planned for release not just on Nintendo Switch, but also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when Capcom dropped the announcement about their compilation! While they did share an official trailer, it was Nintendo Direct that truly spilled the beans with more intriguing details. In particular, it was revealed that the games originally designed for the DS will now be compacted onto a single screen for platforms like ours – making gameplay seamless across different devices!
Furthermore, it has been verified that this collection will include features for registering friends online and playing in competitive modes. Notably, Capcom’s official site mentioned an exception, stating that cross-platform play will not be available.
The full list of the titles and versions featured is as follows:
- Mega Man Star Force: Leo, Dragon, and Pegasus
- Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker X Ninja and Zerker X Saurian
- Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace and Red Joker
Star Force 2 comes in three different versions, similar to the original one. Interestingly, the Zerker version was included in two separate game packages. This aligns with the Double Tribe feature of this iteration, where the Zerker pairs can be found within the game, but the Ninja X Saurian pair needs to be unlocked using the communications feature.
This revised sentence maintains the original meaning while making it more natural and easy to read for a wider audience.
The trailers are located just beneath this text. As for now, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is planned to offer support in Japanese, English, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese languages.
