A new KPop group is gaining popularity, and they’re unlike anything you’ve seen before – the members are all furry characters! Their music is already attracting hundreds of thousands of listeners on Spotify.
BASTTIE is a KPop boy band made up of five members: Amber, Boreum, Dir, Kkami and Shinnyong.
These musicians stand out from typical pop groups because they are part of the furry fandom. They perform while wearing detailed, custom-made costumes, called ‘fursuits,’ that represent their personal animal characters, known as ‘fursonas’.
The group known as ‘BASTTIE’ is an acronym for ‘BASTard Teens in Everywhere.’ They describe themselves online as ‘naughty but cute boys in your neighborhood.’

Furry Kpop boy band’s debut single album breaks 300K streams
The group’s first single album, ‘First Step,’ is now available on popular streaming services and is quickly gaining attention.
Okay, so I just found out this Kpop group – they’re all furry characters, which is pretty cool – has blown up! Their song is already over 303,000 streams on Spotify, which I didn’t even know was possible for a furry group, making them the first to hit that number. And the music video? Over 191,000 views on YouTube! Seriously impressive.
The song is available in three versions: Korean, Japanese, and a karaoke track for fans to sing with.
The group is suddenly gaining a lot of attention online. Many people are discovering them for the first time, though they’ve actually been performing since the beginning of 2024. They’ve previously performed a cover of SEVENTEEN’s “Pretty U” and have also released original songs featuring members Amber and Shinnyoung.
People on social media are both confused and impressed by this group’s newest accomplishment. One commenter on YouTube praised them, saying, “I have a lot of respect for all the members for creating the entire music video and dance routine while wearing those suits.”
“We got a furry boy band before GTA 6,” another joked.
“You guys need to get popular so we can get photocards and merch,” another urged.
BASTTIE has quickly gained fans around the world thanks to their hit song, ‘First Step.’ It remains to be seen if they’ll reach the same level of success as KPop Demon Hunters, however.
