According to a recent report, an actor in the new movie Avengers: Doomsday will be playing more than one character.

What star might be playing multiple roles in Avengers: Doomsday?

A recent report by Daniel Richtman indicates that Hayley Atwell will portray several characters in the new film. While details are still emerging, earlier reports suggested she might play different iterations of her character, Peggy Carter.

This suggests we might see Hayley Atwell play both the classic version of Peggy Carter who shared adventures with Steve Rogers in the past, and a different version of the character – a superhero like the one featured in Marvel’s What If…? and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Atwell hasn’t revealed anything about her role in the upcoming Doomsday project, so her involvement remains a mystery.

I’m so excited about this movie! We already know a bunch of our favorite MCU heroes are going to be in it. Chris Hemsworth is definitely coming back as Thor, and I can’t wait to see Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards. Plus, Vanessa Kirby will be playing the Invisible Woman, and we’ll get to see Captain America with Anthony Mackie, Bucky Barnes with Sebastian Stan, Shuri/Black Panther with Letitia Wright, and even Paul Rudd as Ant-Man! It’s going to be epic!

The movie will also feature appearances by Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

The next X-Men movie will feature the return of several familiar faces, including Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
