MCU Fans Believe Marvel Hid Characters in Avengers: Doomsday’s 4th Trailer

Some Marvel fans think Marvel might have secretly changed the latest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday to remove certain characters from view.

I’m so excited for the next Avengers movie! It’s currently being finished up – they’re in post-production now. The Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony, are directing, and it’s set to come out in the US later this year. And if that wasn’t enough, we already have another one planned – Avengers: Secret Wars – which will be here in 2027! I can hardly wait.

Marvel has released four short previews for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. The first preview showed Chris Evans returning as Captain America, the second highlighted Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and the third featured some of the X-Men. The latest preview focuses on Shuri/Black Panther, played by Letitia Wright, and Ben Grimm/The Thing, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, along with other characters.

Why might MCU fans be right about Avengers: Doomsday’s 4th trailer?

There’s a lot of talk on Twitter that Marvel might have changed the final ‘Avengers: Endgame’ trailer using digital editing to remove certain characters from view.

Although it seems unusual, Marvel has a history of altering trailers. For example, they digitally inserted Taskmaster into some trailers for the upcoming Thunderbolts movie to conceal his early death. They also used digital editing to remove Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire from certain Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer footage.

The latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer features a scene set in a desert, and it’s likely there are other characters or elements present that will appear in the finished movie. Some fans speculate this desert setting might actually be the Void at the End of Time, a similar environment seen in Deadpool & Wolverine. We’ll all have to wait until the movie’s release on December 18, 2026, to know for sure.

Avengers: Secret Wars, meanwhile, follows on December 17, 2027.
