To promote the final season of Stranger Things, McDonald’s is transforming into a Hawkins-themed experience, offering limited-edition items like a fried chicken bucket and a special ‘Upside Down Burger’.
The final season of Stranger Things, Season 5, will be released on Netflix in three parts. The first arrives November 26th, the second on Christmas Day, and the last on New Year’s Eve. With excitement growing, many brands worldwide are creating special Stranger Things-themed food and drinks.
McDonald’s is collaborating with Stranger Things on Happy Meals in many countries, but the partnership in Peru and Brazil is particularly unique and exciting.
McDonald’s launches Stranger Things fried chicken buckets
As a huge Stranger Things fan, I’m going crazy over McDonald’s Peru right now! They’ve gone all-out with a promotion, and the coolest part? They’re selling a bucket of their amazing crispy chicken – six pieces! – in a bucket decorated with the Christmas lights and letters from the very first season. It’s seriously awesome and I wish we had it here!
The menu features a unique Upside Down Burger and chicken sandwich. Both are served with the bun flipped over for a fun look, and are loaded with barbecue sauce, maple flavoring, crispy onions, bacon, cheddar cheese, and mayo.

The Hawkins McFloat completes the main menu, offering a nostalgic treat of Coca-Cola layered with a creamy vanilla drink, reminiscent of classic soda shops.
Brazilian dessert lovers have three new options to enjoy: the Walkie Pie, a Scoops Sundae with strawberry syrup, and the Code Red McColosso, which is an ice cream treat featuring a chocolate or caramel shell, rice flakes, and a Biju Black topping.
Okay, so McDonald’s wasn’t the only fast food place jumping on the Stranger Things bandwagon! KFC Mexico came out with their own “Stranger Menu” – it was awesome! They had this thing called the Stranger Bucket, and get this, an Eleven Burger served on waffle buns! Plus, they introduced a new Stranger Sauce. Seriously, the Stranger Things marketing was everywhere!

Doritos created special ‘Upside Down’ packaging and a popular ‘Demogorgon Dip’ for snacking. Babybel cheese and Chips Ahoy cookies also joined the trend with ‘Hellfire’-themed versions.
As a huge Stranger Things fan, it’s wild to see how everyone’s getting involved with the final season! Seriously, every brand wants a piece of the Hawkins action, and we fans are already scrambling to snag all the limited-edition merch before the new episodes even come out.
