McDonald’s launches Stranger Things Happy Meal-style box with mini figures

McDonald’s is joining forces with the popular Netflix show, Stranger Things, to celebrate its last season! They’re releasing a limited-edition Happy Meal box, and fans are incredibly excited.

The Stranger Things box is packed with exclusive goodies, including a Hellfire Club-themed dipping sauce and a collectible mini-figure. You might get Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Will, Lucas, or even the Demogorgon – it’s a surprise which character you’ll receive, as they’re all sealed in mystery packaging!

McDonald’s in Portugal is offering exclusive Stranger Things collectibles. Customers who purchase a medium or large combo meal can add a special box to their order for just 1€ (about $1 USD) to receive one.

Fans in North America are disappointed to learn this special collaboration is currently limited to countries like Spain, Portugal, and Argentina. However, people around the world are hoping it will become available in more places.

Stranger Things fans plead for McDonald’s collab to go global

I saw someone online begging for these to be released in the US, and another fan was practically pleading for them to come to Australia! Everyone’s really hoping they’ll become available internationally.

Many people expressed disappointment that the McDonald’s promotion for Stranger Things, a very popular American show, launched in other countries before the US. Others were simply excited to taste the limited-edition Hellfire Dipping Sauce.

McDonald’s hasn’t said whether the special Stranger Things meal will be available in more countries, but with the final season of the show being released in three parts – starting November 26th, then on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve – there’s still a chance it could happen worldwide.

This collaboration is the latest in a series of promotions for Stranger Things as the show approaches its final season. KFC previously released limited-edition red-bun burgers and ‘Stranger Wings’ in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Doritos recently launched special “Upside Down” bags and a popular, thick Demogorgon Dip, both of which quickly became a viral sensation.

Even Babybel and Chips Ahoy got in on the action with Hellfire cheese and fruit-filled cookies.

As the show nears its end, many brands are eager to release ‘Stranger Things’-themed products, and fans are excited to collect them all.
