Dreaming of a cheesy burger? McDonald’s France is celebrating all things cheese this December! They’re adding cheesy options to their menu, including burgers and fries.

Starting December 9th, McDonald’s in France is offering a new XXL Cheddar Cup – a creamy cheese dip perfect for dipping fries, chicken nuggets, or burgers. It’s similar to the nacho cheese sauce often found at American sporting events.

The Cheddar Cup is one item on a larger, cheese-focused menu – either called ‘Crazy Cheddar’ or ‘Cheddar Madness’ – that also features burgers and cheesy fries.

McDonald’s France is leaning into cheese for the holidays

Among the new options is the Royal Cheesy Jalapeno Bacon burger, a bacon cheeseburger kicked up with spicy jalapenos. There’s also the CBO Extra Cheddar, a more flavorful take on a popular McDonald’s burger in France. The CBO, which stands for Chicken, Bacon, Onion, features crispy chicken, bacon, fried onions, and cheese, all on a soft bun sprinkled with bacon bits.

People who love fast food can now enjoy McShaker Cheese Fries, which are served with a packet of cheese seasoning that you shake directly onto the fries inside the bag.

And you can’t forget the XXL Cheddar Cup – perfect for dipping your cheeseburgers! France is famous for its cheeses, and McDonald’s is highlighting that with this special, limited-time offering.

Diners can try out the Crazy Cheddar menu for themselves until January 12, 2026.
