Master the Low Driven Shot in EA FC 25 and Score Like a Pro!

In EA FC 25, there are five distinct kinds of shots, however, not every type such as the low driven shot is explicitly shown in the game’s control scheme.

Just as the term implies, a ‘low driven’ shot is one that skims swiftly across the turf rather than soaring in the sky. This type of shot poses a challenge for goalkeepers, as they must dive and stretch their arms horizontally instead of merely jumping to reach and block a goal attempt.

FIFA 17 saw a lot of success with the low driven shots, as they often found their mark in the far-post corner before goalkeepers could respond effectively. However, this strategy has been less successful in recent versions of the game.

In FC 25, finesse shots and power shots have been the go-to methods for consistently scoring goals. But on March 10, EA reintroduced a new PlayStyle, enhancing the effectiveness of low driven shots once again.

EA FC 25 low driven shots explained

Taking a low-driven shot is simple, but messing up is easy if you don’t do the input correctly.

  1. Press the shoot button (O on PlayStation or B on Xbox)
  2. Release the shoot button before the power bar reaches one-and-a-half bars

It will be a regular shot if you hold the shoot button for too long.

When to perform a low driven shot in EA FC 25

When taking shots inside the penalty area (the “box”), it’s more effective to aim for long-range attempts, as goalkeepers often find it simpler to block close-range shots at the near post compared to those at the far post.

Attempting shots from outside the penalty area might not result frequently, especially if they’re taken from a distance, but in FIFA Ultimate Team, players with the ‘Low Driven Shot PlayStyle’ have enhanced accuracy, faster ball speed, and quicker animations for these types of shots.

While the latest PlayStyle shot is a valuable asset, it’s important for players to familiarize themselves with its limitations prior to relying on it frequently.
