New artwork from ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps – The Art of the Movie’ offers a look at Galactus without his helmet. The concept art, featuring Ralph Ineson’s portrayal of the character, shows his bare head and his helmet lying nearby amidst rubble. Marvel Studios has released the images, revealing the purple-clad villain’s face and how his costume extends around the sides of his head and over his ears.

New concept art reveals Ralph Ineson’s character, Galactus, without his helmet for the first time. The images show intricate technology covering the back of his head and ears. While Galactus wears his helmet throughout the movie, these are the first official glimpses of his unmasked appearance, and he’s featured prominently in the newly released images.

A new art book came out with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the movie that kicked off Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and marked the team’s first solo film in the MCU. The movie stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

In the movie, Galactus wasn’t killed, but the Silver Surfer helped send him far away, stopping him from eating Earth. The ending suggested things to come, as Galactus noticed the incredible power of Reed and Sue Richards’ son, Franklin. He actually caused Franklin to be born early because he knew the child had a special cosmic power.

Marvel Studios is building Galactus up as a villain who will pose a threat for years to come, with plans for his return after the current Multiverse Saga concludes. The next Avengers movie, tentatively titled ‘Doomsday,’ will center around Victor von Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., and his attempt to gain control of Franklin’s incredible abilities.

The film is now streaming on Disney+.
