Marvel’s Dafne Keen Revealed In Closer Look At New Horror Whistle [Exclusive]

The new horror film, Whistle, showcases Marvel actress Dafne Keen. She stars alongside Sophie Nélisse, known for her role as Shauna Shipman in Yellowjackets. The movie centers on Keen and Nélisse’s characters, Chrys and Ellie, two high school students who discover an ancient Aztec whistle that is said to foretell the exact moment of one’s death when played.

Screen Rant is offering a first look at the 2026 film Whistle with a new image. The photo shows Chrys standing outside at night, wearing a jacket, with purple light illuminating half of her face. You can see the image below.

The film Whistle premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2025 and currently has a 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with five out of seven reviews being positive. It will be released in U.S. cinemas on February 6th.

Nick Frost, Percy Hynes White (known for Wednesday), Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, and Ali Skovbye also star in the film alongside Keen and Nélisse. Corin Hardy directed the horror movie, and Owen Egerton wrote the script.

Dafne Keen’s latest project, Whistle, follows a busy period for the young actress. She recently returned as Laura/X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine and made her first appearance in the Star Wars universe as Jedi Padawan Jecki Lon in The Acolyte. Keen is well known for her role as Laura/X-23 in Logan and for playing Lyra Belacqua throughout the three seasons of the popular HBO series His Dark Materials.

In addition to her role in Whistle, actress Leah Sava Jeffries has been cast in a significant role for the future of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. She’ll join the series as Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, starting with season 3. Season 3 is currently being filmed while new episodes of season 2 are released weekly on Disney+.

Sophie Nélisse will reprise her role as Shauna in the fourth and final season of the popular show Yellowjackets. She recently starred in several episodes of HBO’s hit series Heated Rivalry, a hockey-themed romance that has gained a large following.

Horror fans have a lot to look forward to in 2026, and the year will begin with the release of Whistle in February. Other anticipated horror films coming that year include We Bury the Dead, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Return to Silent Hill, Send Help, Scream 7, Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come, Evil Dead Burn, Resident Evil, Terrifier 4, and Werwulf.
