What happens in the new Marvel Zombies trailer?
In the latest Marvel Zombies preview, we witness prominent figures from Marvel Studios such as Thanos, Captain America, and others transform into ghastly, cannibalistic beings. The survival of the world now hangs in the balance, with a select few escaping this fate. Among them is Spider-Man. As the trailer concludes, Spidey attempts to halt undead Thanos by hurling Thor’s Stormbreaker axe, but to no avail as it fails to faze the zombie villain.
The ensemble of Marvel Zombies features Awkwafina playing Katy, David Harbour portraying Alexei Shostakov (also known as Red Guardian), Simu Liu in the role of Shang-Chi, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, or Scarlet Witch, Randall Park taking on Jimmy Woo, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Paul Rudd reprising his character Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Wyatt Russell assuming the identity of John Walker (U.S. Agent), Tessa Thompson portraying Valkyrie, Hailee Steinfeld voicing Kate Bishop, Iman Vellani taking on Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Dominique Thorne voicing Riri Williams (Ironheart), Todd Williams embodying Eric Brooks (Blade Knight), and Hudson Thames playing Peter Parker (Spider-Man). Other actors are also included in the cast.
Following the Avengers being infected by a zombie outbreak, a small band of survivors uncovers the means to put an end to this undead threat caused by superheroes. They journey across a post-apocalyptic setting, taking considerable risks with their lives, in an attempt to save their world.
The Marvel Zombies series is overseen by executive producers Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Andrews, and Wells. Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar are the series’ producers. Beginning on September 24, 2025, all four episodes of the show will be available for streaming on Disney+.
