Marvel Zombies Season 2 Could Happen on 1 Condition Only

Although the Disney+ series *Marvel Zombies* hasn’t launched yet, people are already wondering if it will get a second season. The show, based on the Marvel comic books, features popular MCU heroes transformed into zombie-like creatures. A Marvel Studios executive recently shared what would need to happen for the studio to approve another season, despite the excitement surrounding the upcoming mature-themed show.

Brad Winderbaum reveals how Marvel Zombies Season 2 could happen

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, recently told ComicBook.com that they’ve already started planning a possible second season of *Marvel Zombies*. However, whether that season actually happens will depend on how well the first season does with audiences.

Winderbaum urged viewers to subscribe to Disney+ and watch the show, stating that if they do, more seasons are likely. He expressed excitement and readiness for a potential Season 2 of Marvel Zombies.

The new four-part series builds directly on a zombie-themed episode from the first season of *What If…?*, which introduced a zombie outbreak into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel executive Brad Winderbaum previously explained that the *What If…?* episode was meant as an introduction to this larger, more extensive *Marvel Zombies* story, calling it a ‘prologue’ to the events coming next year.

Marvel Zombies, a new animated series from Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells, will showcase familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Panther. Many of the original actors from the live-action films are also lending their voices to the series, including Elizabeth Olsen, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, and others.

All four episodes of Marvel Zombies will be available to stream on Disney+ starting September 24, 2025.
