At New York Comic Con 2025, Marvel Studios debuted the first trailer for *VisionQuest*, showing it only to those attending the convention during the Marvel Animation and Marvel Television panel.
The trailer revealed that AI characters based on Tony Stark’s assistants—like JARVIS, FRIDAY, D.U.M.E., EDITH, and U—will be important in the show.
The trailer created a similarly unsettling atmosphere to those for *WandaVision*, and some viewers felt it showed Vision experiencing a reality that wasn’t real. A voiceover, believed to be Ultron (voiced by James Spader), said, “You’re a ghost haunting her footsteps.”
The video clip concludes with a scene showing Ruaridh Mollica’s character on a security camera, and he’s identified as Thomas Shepherd – the same actor who played Tommy in the show *WandaVision*.

Brad Winderbaum, who leads Marvel’s television and animation departments, announced the official logo for *VisionQuest* and confirmed it will be released on Disney+ in 2026.
Paul Bettany, speaking on the panel, called *VisionQuest* a show with a “fantastic and gripping plot.”
The actor, known for his role in the MCU, shared some details about the upcoming series. He explained that the original Vision transferred all of his memories – even those formed inside the Hex – to White Vision. However, White Vision is having trouble understanding these memories because he lacks emotions. According to the actor, the series, VisionQuest, will focus on White Vision attempting to make sense of his past experiences.
Marvel Studios confirmed that the new series will conclude the story arc that began with *WandaVision* and continued with *Agatha All Along*.
Why VisionQuest Is Setting Up a Maximoff Family Reunion (Without Wanda)
Since *VisionQuest* is the last planned show in the *WandaVision* series, it’s likely we’ll see the family reunited in a future episode featuring Paul Bettany’s character.
The ending of ‘Agatha All Along’ hinted at Wiccan searching for his lost brother, but now that it’s confirmed Tommy is part of ‘VisionQuest,’ it seems likely that White Vision will locate him first.
This development allows Billy and his spectral companion Agatha to locate Tommy and White Vision, creating a heartfelt reunion for the Maximoff family. However, considering Wanda’s ambiguous fate at the end of *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*, her presence in this reunion seems improbable unless the *VisionQuest* series introduces a major twist – perhaps bringing the Scarlet Witch back before *Avengers: Doomsday*.
It’s interesting to see human versions of Tony Stark’s AI assistants appearing, as this will likely give fans a closer look at their backstories and offer a fresh perspective on important moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about the possibility of Ultron coming back, especially with his connection to Wanda. Their history in *Avengers: Age of Ultron* was so compelling, and it makes me wonder if he somehow survived that final battle.
