Marvel Studios to Release a Secret ‘She-Hulk’ Sequel In 2026

A second season of the Marvel show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is planned for 2026, but it will be different from a typical renewal. The first season, which premiered in 2022, received mixed reactions from viewers, but it advanced the overall Hulk story by focusing on characters Jennifer Walters and Bruce Banner. Marvel intends to build on the storylines introduced in She-Hulk as it releases new projects in Phase 6.

There’s talk that the upcoming Spider-Man 4, a collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, will loosely follow the events of the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series. According to Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, Bruce Banner will appear in Spider-Man 4 and this will tie the two stories together. Perez reports that Banner will be incredibly stressed and facing his biggest fears after what happens in both She-Hulk and Captain America: Brave New World. Essentially, this Spider-Man movie will serve as a continuation of Bruce Banner’s story from She-Hulk, but instead of being a TV show, it will be a feature film.

Mark Ruffalo returned as Bruce Banner/the Hulk in She-Hulk, appearing in the first two episodes and the final one. Despite this, the show’s surprising ending left many fans wondering what the long-term plan is for Banner’s story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beyond introducing his son, Skaar.

In the upcoming Spider-Man 4, Bruce Banner could face his biggest fear: the creation of more Hulks. This stems from the incident with Jennifer Walters, who transformed into She-Hulk after receiving his blood. Coupled with the news that President Thaddeus Ross became the Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World, this situation might push Banner over the edge, potentially causing him to transform back into his more primal, Savage Hulk persona.

The next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is set to be the second film in Marvel Studios’ Phase 6 and the fourth solo adventure for the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and returning favorites like Mark Ruffalo and Jon Bernthal, alongside newcomers Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas, the movie is currently being filmed in the UK. It’s scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

She-Hulk’s Future in the MCU

Since her Disney+ series finished, She-Hulk hasn’t appeared in any other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, despite some potential connections. While a few upcoming movies and shows could bring the character back, Tatiana Maslany hasn’t been confirmed to return as She-Hulk yet.

It’s looking increasingly unlikely that She-Hulk will return for a second season on Disney+. Actress Tatiana Maslany mentioned the show went over budget during the production of Season 1, and Marvel has publicly stated it wants to reduce costs for its Disney+ series. This is particularly relevant for She-Hulk because it relies heavily on computer-generated imagery, which can be expensive.

Many fans are still hoping to see She-Hulk in the next Avengers movie, Doomsday, particularly because of a scene after the credits of the 2025 film Thunderbolts. That scene showed Sam Wilson trying to officially register the name “Avengers,” which suggests he might need a lawyer – someone like Jennifer Walters.

Since there are no immediate plans for Tatiana Maslany’s character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her storyline is on hold while Marvel finishes its current Multiverse Saga.
