Marvel fans are finally getting a glimpse of how Marvel Studios is reimagining the iconic X-Men villain, Apocalypse. With the X-Men now part of the MCU, things are going incredibly well – season one of *X-Men ’97* received fantastic reviews, and *Deadpool & Wolverine* broke box office records as the highest-grossing R-rated film ever. *X-Men ’97* also hinted at Apocalypse’s comeback, and that return is now happening soon.
Marvel Studios has revealed the official design for the villain Apocalypse as he’ll appear in Season 2 of X-Men ’97. Photos from New York Comic-Con, shared by DisInsider and Laughing Place, showcase a Marvel Legends action figure of Apocalypse from the upcoming season, which is a continuation of the original X-Men: The Animated Series.

As a huge fan, I was so thrilled to see Apocalypse brought to life in *X-Men ’97*, and now Marvel Studios has created an incredible figurine of him! It perfectly captures his iconic comic book appearance. What’s really cool is that it comes with different arm attachments, letting you pose him with all the power and menace he’s known for. It’s a fantastic collectible for any fan of the character, especially those who love his original comic look!

The photos primarily feature a battle between Apocalypse and Cable. Apocalypse is shown in his classic purple armor, just like in the comics, complete with a large “A” on his belt and a purple helmet.

Hasbro revealed the accessories included with this special figurine, available exclusively through Hasbro Pulse. These include a large sword, a drill, and a set of empty hands for different poses.

This figurine is impressively large for a Marvel Legends figure, standing a full foot tall. Most figures of this type are only around 6 or 7 inches tall, making this one significantly bigger.

Season 2 of *X-Men ’97* will continue the story of Marvel’s reboot of *X-Men: The Animated Series*, the popular show from the 1990s. The new season will introduce characters like Havok and Polaris, and the X-Men team will begin divided into two groups, each stranded in a different time. *X-Men ’97* Season 2 is slated to premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
What To Expect From Apocalypse in X-Men ’97 Season 2

The first season of *X-Men ’97* concludes with Magneto, Xavier, and the X-Men unexpectedly finding themselves in ancient Egypt. There, they encounter En Sabah Nur, who is revealed to be the original name of the villain Apocalypse. Throughout the season, viewers only see him dormant in the sand, before the X-Men decide to team up with him.
Apocalypse is considered the very first mutant, and details about his story in Season 2 are currently a secret. But a newly released collectible figure gives fans a preview of En Sabah Nur’s transformation into Apocalypse, showcasing his iconic costume and complete abilities.
Apocalypse was a major villain in the original X-Men: The Animated Series, appearing in many episodes and proving to be a powerful and intelligent foe for the mutants across different eras. Because the new series, X-Men ’97, is closely connected to the original, Marvel might build on Apocalypse’s established backstory and continue his story from previous episodes.
Now that Marvel is planning to introduce Apocalypse into their live-action movies and TV shows, the character is experiencing a resurgence in popularity, especially after his appearance in Season 2 of *X-Men ’97*.
