Marvel Studios Announces End Of WandaVision’s Story

The story of *WandaVision* will continue in a new Disney+ series expected in 2026. *WandaVision* was the MCU’s first show to win an Emmy Award, becoming a huge hit in 2021. Following the events of the 2024 series *Agatha All Along*, this new installment appears to be the final chapter in the epic story of the Scarlet Witch and Vision.

Marvel Studios has announced that *VisionQuest* will conclude the Disney+ trilogy that began with *WandaVision*. Before their New York Comic-Con presentation, Marvel’s website revealed *VisionQuest* is the last chapter in the series, which also includes Paul Bettany’s original Disney+ show and Kathryn Hahn’s *Agatha All Along*.

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about the new series! It feels like the culmination of everything that started with *WandaVision* and continued with last year’s *Agatha All Along*. It’s like the final chapter in a story that’s been building for a while now.

During Marvel Studios’ panel at New York Comic Con 2025, Paul Bettany joined the discussion to talk about his upcoming show, *VisionQuest*. His character, Vision, was resurrected in the Disney+ series *WandaVision* after being destroyed in *Avengers: Infinity War*, and *VisionQuest* will be his first live-action role since then.

Paul Bettany will return as Vision in *VisionQuest*, one of at least seven new movies and shows planned for Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series will follow White Vision as he processes the memories he received from Red Vision and explores the emotions that come with them. The cast also includes Ruaridh Mollica, James Spader, Henry Lewis, Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy.

The new series *VisionQuest* is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2026. You can find details and footage from the show’s New York Comic Con 2025 presentation here.

How Vision Quest Completes WandaVision Trilogy for Marvel Studios

After the events at the end of *WandaVision*, recent announcements from NYCC 2025 suggest a clear direction for Vision’s story. Specifically, the creation of White Vision’s body in Episode 8 of *WandaVision* hinted at what would come next for Paul Bettany’s character, even after his apparent death.

The trailer for the show, revealed at NYCC, evoked similar emotions to those created by the original *WandaVision* trailer, continuing that show’s ideas as Vision gets ready to return. Although Wanda Maximoff isn’t anticipated to appear, Vision will have a rich backstory to explore, thanks to Red Vision transferring his memories into White Vision.

After his time with the Avengers, Bettany’s character will embark on a fast-paced, global adventure to discover his identity and find his place as a hero.

With the surprising reappearance of his son, Tommy, after their strange adventure in the Hex (sparked by Billy’s return in the episode *Agatha All Along*), the show promises a lot of intense emotional moments for Vision.

Now that the cast for the show has been announced at New York Comic Con, Vision is still likely to face major obstacles, including battles against villains like Ultron, played by James Spader, and Paladin, portrayed by Todd Stashwick.

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited for what’s next for Vision, played by Paul Bettany. He’s been a part of the MCU for 18 years now, and it’s awesome to think he’ll have some familiar faces helping him along the way. Seeing Emily Hampshire as EDITH and James Spader as JARVIS potentially back in the mix alongside Vision is just fantastic – that support system should make for a really compelling story.
