Marvel Snap is introducing a new limited-time mode called Team Clash that celebrates iconic comic book team-ups. Thirty cards will be updated with special ‘Team Clash’ versions designed to work well together, and each team will have a unique ability to enhance their powers. This event starts in late December.
The game features five different teams based on popular Marvel groups: the Avengers, X-Men, Thunderbolts, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Spider-Verse. You can choose to play with a ready-made deck for any of these teams, or create your own unique strategy by building a custom deck. To make a custom deck, you simply need to include the six essential cards for that specific team.
We’ve made some small changes to certain cards for Team Clash, and completely redesigned others. For instance, Avengers now work together – whenever you play an Avenger, all other Avengers at that location become slightly more powerful. Captain America in Team Clash still boosts his teammates, giving nearby Avengers +2 power. Hulk has seen a bigger change: his base power is a little lower, but he gains +2 power for each other Avenger at his location when he’s played.
Explore the teams and their unique skills listed below to begin building your winning decks. Team Clash takes place from December 18th to 27th.
Avengers – After you play an Avenger, give one of your Avengers there +1 Power.
X-Men – You get +1 Energy for each location where you have 3 or more X-Men.
Thunderbolts – Your Thunderbolts reveal with +2 Power at locations you’re losing.
Guardians of the Galaxy – ALL cards reveal with +1 Power at the glowing location.
Spider-Verse – You get +2 Energy if one of your Spider-Verse cards moved last turn.
We’ve updated the article to reflect a change announced by Second Dinner: the game mode will now have five teams instead of the previously reported number.
