As a longtime enthusiast of hero shooters and someone who has seen the rise and fall of many titles in this genre, I must say that the prospect of Marvel Rivals piques my interest. While it may not be breaking new ground with its gameplay concept, the roster of iconic superheroes it boasts is undeniably enticing.

The hero shooter genre has seen a lot of games, but Overwatch 2 continues to stand out as the benchmark. Despite its controversies, it offers an engaging roster of characters and was groundbreaking upon release. Other games attempt to join this niche, like Concord, which didn’t survive long. However, original and intriguing titles can still thrive, such as Supervive. Now, another contender is aiming for a piece of the pie – Marvel Rivals. Although its gameplay concept isn’t entirely unique, it boasts some of the most famous superheroes in the world. We know it’s coming to consoles and PC, but will mobile platforms like Android and iOS be included as well? Let’s see!

Marvel Rivals Android and iOS release explained

It seems Marvel Rivals, with its distinctive non-photorealistic art style, could potentially be adapted for use on devices running Android or iOS. Given that popular franchises such as Call of Duty have been successfully ported to these mobile platforms, it’s plausible that they are equipped to handle such games. So, could we expect Marvel Rivals action on our mobile screens?

At present, we don’t have any plans in place for now, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t happen in the future. Given the vast mobile market, particularly in the eastern regions, there’s a strong possibility that if the game performs well on its primary platforms, it could eventually be available on Android and iOS devices as well.

Supporting the idea of bringing Marvel Rivals to other platforms is linked to the widespread use of mobile gaming on eastern markets, as it’s created by NetEase – a Chinese developer renowned for creating mobile games. Notable titles under their belt include Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, and Diablo Immortal, with Marvel Super War, released in 2020 exclusively on iOS and Android, being one of their major productions.

Keeping this thought in mind, let’s eagerly anticipate updates on Marvel Rivals. If you’d love to speed up the process, feel free to join the discussion on the game’s official Discord channel. Wishing you all the best of luck!
