As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for all things Marvel, I can’t help but feel the chill of excitement running down my virtual spine as the Winter Celebration event for Marvel Rivals approaches! The prospect of diving into the icy waters of Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival and donning Eddie Brock’s jagged glacial look or Magik’s snow bunny gear is almost too enticing to resist.
Prepare to adorn your homes and embark on winter adventures, as Marvel Rivals introduces a fresh game mode and skins for its special Winter Celebration event! This festive celebration starts on December 20 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and will unveil Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival – an exciting 4v4 Arcade Mode – within the game.
At the Splash Festival, a four-player game mode is offered where each participant takes on the role of Jeff The Land Shark. Players use Jeff’s icy water-blast and whirlpool attacks to eliminate their opponents. Successfully completing tasks will grant players temporary items like the Jeff the Land Shark: Plushy Scalefin costume, tagline, splash art, and additional rewards. Additionally, festive costumes for characters including Eddie Brock, Rocket Raccoon, Magik, and Groot will be available during this celebration.
Eddie exudes an icy, jagged appearance, whereas Magik is adorned in attire resembling a winter bunny. Rocket is dressed up like Santa Claus in red, and Groot appears as if he’s a Christmas tree embellished with decorations and lights.
In addition to unveiling a brand-new Marvel Rivals comic book series, only available through the Marvel Unlimited digital comics app, it will debut on December 16. Furthermore, starting December 20, there will be a fresh collection of free character sheets for the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game, as well as a play map and a new game mode inspired by Domination.
From January 3rd onwards, every active Marvel Unlimited subscriber will be emailed a redemption code for a unique spray, especially for Jeff. If you’re new and want to get this spray, make sure to join before December 25th.
