The latest Spider-Man story features a surprising encounter with the Lizard, who has a completely new look. Spider-Man is known for having some of the most memorable villains in the Marvel Universe, and these characters have been key to the success of many Marvel movies. Over the years, both in and outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man films have showcased a number of iconic adversaries.
Spider-Man has faced off against a variety of villains, including the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Electro, Sandman, and the Lizard, among others. The Lizard has appeared in live-action films twice: once in The Amazing Spider-Man against Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, and more recently in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although it’s uncertain if the character will return in future Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man films, the Lizard continues to be featured in animated projects.
Marvel Has Revealed What Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s Lizard Looks Like
The Lizard recently appeared in the animated series Spidey and his Amazing Friends. He showed up in the second part of the 16th episode, titled “Adventures Down the Drain,” which aired on January 9th as part of Season 4. The episode’s plot takes Spider-Man and his friends on an adventure through the city’s sewers.
A shrinking potion gone wrong unexpectedly makes both the villain and Spider-Man incredibly small. While Miles Morales (Spin) and Gwen Stacy (Ghost-Spider/Ghosty) try to fix the problem with a new formula, Peter Parker and the Lizard have to team up to escape the sewers, make their way back to the city, and regain their normal size.
Fans who have followed the Lizard character for a long time will appreciate his design in the Spider-Man TV show. He has a distinct reptile appearance, featuring spiky hair and a spiked tail. His outfit includes green skin, a white lab coat, and a striking combination of bright purple pants and a shirt. Considering the work he’s doing, it’s fitting that the Lizard doesn’t appear frightening.
How Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s Lizard Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Villain?
In season 4 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends, The Lizard’s appearance is very similar to his original design from Marvel Comics. Both versions of the character share the same green skin and clothing. The main difference is that the TV show version of The Lizard has a more noticeable snout.
The animated Lizard’s appearance is quite different from the live-action versions seen in The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Those movies presented a Lizard with a wilder, more animalistic look – he didn’t have spiky hair or wear any clothing. His snout was less noticeable, and his coloring was a darker, less bright green compared to the more vivid design in this Spider-Man series.
