Earlier this year, EA canceled its planned Black Panther video game. However, fans will still be able to play as the King of Wakanda! Tribute Games and Dotemu have revealed that Black Panther is joining the cast of characters in the upcoming game, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, alongside a surprising new hero: Cosmic Ghost Rider.
Okay, so I’ve been playing this game called Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and it’s a classic side-scrolling beat-’em-up. You get to choose from fifteen different Marvel heroes, and the story is all about stopping Annihilus and his army from taking over. The coolest part? You can switch between two heroes *right in the middle* of a fight, which is awesome for combos and just keeping things interesting!
According to the PlayStation Blog, Black Panther in the game focuses on both his incredible martial arts skills and his use of vibranium weaponry. He can throw vibranium daggers to attack from a distance, and when enemies get close, he uses his vibranium claws with a special move called Panther Slash.
Cosmic Ghost Rider is a newer Marvel character, originally a future version of Frank Castle, better known as The Punisher. In a timeline where Thanos won against all of Marvel’s heroes, Castle was transformed into the Ghost Rider and later teamed up with Galactus, becoming his herald. After hundreds of years of hardship, Castle’s personality became similar to Deadpool’s – more humorous and unpredictable.
Cosmic Ghost Rider in Cosmic Invasion can attack several enemies with his fiery chains and even use his own head as a weapon when unleashing a powerful blast. He can also amplify his attacks by utilizing his cosmic motorcycle.
In addition to Black Panther and Cosmic Ghost Rider, these characters will also appear in Cosmic Invasion.
