Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Has Been Delayed…Again

Skydance Games has delayed its action game, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, again. They haven’t announced a new release date, only saying it will now launch sometime after early 2026.

The publisher shared on Twitter that they’re postponing the release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. They explained that the game is a large-scale project and they want to make sure it’s polished to meet the high expectations of their team, players, and fans.

So, I just heard some frustrating news about the game I’ve been waiting for. Skydance Games already pushed it back to early 2026, but now they’ve announced it’s getting delayed again, and they don’t even have a new release window yet. It’s a bummer, honestly.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is the debut game from Skydance New Media, a studio launched in 2019 by the film production company of the same name. Led by Amy Hennig, known for her work on the Uncharted series, the game lets players take on the roles of four characters: Black Panther, Captain America, Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, a leader of Wakandan spies.

Rise of Hydra, as the name implies, takes place in Nazi-occupied Paris during World War II. However, like many action-adventure games, the story will expand globally, sending players to locations like Wakanda and other places around the world.
