As a long-time fan of gripping procedurals and captivating performances, I am beyond thrilled to witness the extraordinary ensemble that has joined Season 2 of “Wild Cards”. The addition of Martin Sheen, Ally Sheedy, Marie Avgeropoulos, Tony D’Angelo, and Katie Findlay is nothing short of a dream come true for me.
Actors Martin Sheen, Ally Sheedy, Marie Avgeropoulos, Tony D’Angelo, and Katie Findlay are set to appear on Season 2 of “Wild Cards” in guest roles.
The TV show, airing on CBC and The CW, features Cole Ellis (played by Giacomo Gianniotti), a struggling cop, and Max Mitchell (portrayed by Vanessa Morgan), a cunning con artist. With few alternatives left, they are compelled to team up. As the storyline goes, “They leverage their apparently contrasting abilities to crack cases, and in the process, start understanding what it truly means to trust another person.
Season 2 of “Wild Cards” premieres on Jan. 8 on CBC and CBC Gem, and on Feb. 5 on The CW.
In the new series, Sheen (“The West Wing”) assumes the role of Joseph Edwards, an infamous con artist who shares a past with Max and George (Jason Priestley). Sheedy (“Single Drunk Female”) portrays Rose Pruett, a rugged, no-nonsense ranch owner. Avgeropoulos (“The 100”) takes on the character of Nadia Evans, a skilled street racer who fiercely guards her child. WWE champion D’Angelo plays Jaws, a powerful and authoritative criminal mastermind. Findlay (“Man Seeking Woman”) embodies Maddy, Max’s witty best friend and former partner-in-crime.
In addition to its stellar cast which includes Michael Xavier, Amy Goodmurphy, Terry Chen, Fletcher Donovan, and Jonesy as Marc the Cat, ‘Wild Cards’ is overseen by executive producers such as Michael Konyves, Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, James Thorpe, Alexandra Zarowny, and James Genn. This series is produced by Charles Cooper and Virginia Rankin under the guidance of Carolyn Newman and Alix Steerman at Blink49 Studios. ‘Wild Cards’ originates from Blink49 Studios, Front Street Pictures, and Piller/Segan.
