So, I was watching The Game Awards pre-show, and Day 4 Night dropped a trailer for this really charming 3D platformer. It’s got this adorable badger who’s trying to save his home, and honestly, it looks super nostalgic. I’m already thinking it might give Mario and Donkey Kong a run for their money – this little guy is a new contender, especially if you’re a fan of jumping around in forests!
I’m really excited about this new game, Bradley the Badger! It’s an action-adventure platformer, and the developers are calling it a tribute to classic games. From what I’ve read, it sounds like they’ve taken a bunch of different game ideas – even the ones that didn’t quite work out – and built a world around them. You’ll be fixing up broken game levels, exploring unfinished areas like cathedrals that are still ‘under construction,’ and fighting lots of enemies along the way. It sounds wonderfully weird and creative!
The trailer then showcases a series of imaginative worlds with humorous titles – like Badgerborne, Cyberbadger, and The Last Badger – each playing on familiar video game themes. It brings to mind the style of games from Hazelight Studios, particularly Split Fiction.
And here’s a fun fact: Bradley the Badger is voiced by Evan Peters, you might recognize him as Quicksilver from Marvel movies like Deadpool 2, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix.
Bradley the Badger is coming to Steam, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet. It’s also currently only confirmed for Steam. You can add it to your Steam wishlist now!
The Game Awards are happening now, and we’re already seeing new game announcements. Capcom announced that Pragmata will be released on Nintendo Switch in April 2026. Jämmerdal Games showed off Decrepit, a challenging action game in the style of Souls games. And GPTRACK50 revealed a new zombie action game with a memorable title: Stupid Never Dies.
