Marcia Gay Harden to Guest Star in Apple Series ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’

As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to announce that I, Marcia Gay Harden, have joined the cast for the upcoming Apple series titled “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” Can’t wait to bring this character to life!

It has been announced that James Harden will make an appearance in the show, which already boasts a star-studded cast consisting of Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, and Thaddea Graham. The series, titled “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” was acquired for eight episodes by Apple TV+ in February 2024, following the same-titled novel written by Rufi Thorpe.

According to the storyline of the novel, it revolves around Margo Millet (Fanning), a young woman in her 20s who is the offspring of a Hooters waitress (Pfeiffer) and an ex-pro wrestler (Offerman). Currently jobless and a single mother, Margo’s financial struggles prompt her to establish an account on OnlyFans. As her father reappears in her life, she blends his wisdom from the pro wrestling sphere into her work on OnlyFans, resulting in unanticipated popularity.

Actress Meryl Streep is well-known among Apple’s audience, having featured prominently throughout all three seasons of their series “The Morning Show.” Her performances on this show have garnered her two Emmy nominations for ‘Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series.’ More recently, she starred in the CBS series “So Help Me Todd” for two seasons. Streep has also been nominated for Emmys for her roles in “The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler” and on “Law & Order: SVU.” She won an Academy Award for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her work in “Pollock,” and was also nominated in the same category for the film “Mystic River.

She is represented by four agencies: Independent Artist Group, Framework Entertainment, Schreck Rose, and The Initiative Group.

David E. Kelley is in charge of writing, producing, and overseeing the show “Margo’s Financial Woes”. Alongside their acting roles, Fanning, Kidman, and Pfeiffer will also serve as executive producers. Brittany Kahan Ward and Dakota Fanning will produce through Lewellen Pictures, which is affiliated with the Fannings. Per Saari from Blossom Films, co-owned by Kidman, and Matthew Tinker from David E. Kelley Productions are additional executive producers. Thorpe and Eva Anderson also hold executive producer positions. A24 is the production company for this project.
