On February 12th, 2025, Team Ninja launched a significant update for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black on both consoles and PC platforms like Microsoft Store and Steam. This update is packed with numerous bug fixes and tweaks, primarily aimed at specific missions. For instance, the health of enemies in chapters 8 and 11 has been reduced, while more enemies have been added to chapters 13 and 14. Moreover, a new enhancement has been implemented, boosting Ayane’s attack power.
In the updates for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, some significant bug fixes have been made, particularly on controllers that didn’t vibrate due to high computing load or frame rate settings (120 FPS or more). Additionally, problems faced by players operating under heavy computational load have also been addressed.
As for the new additions, the developer has incorporated a Photo Mode feature which can be activated from the in-game Options menu. Moreover, they’ve included an option to hide the Projectile Weapon using the “Show Projectile Weapon” setting, found within the “Game Settings” in the Options menu.
In summary, the latest update for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black introduces the New Game Plus (NG+) mode. This feature becomes available once you’ve finished the game. When you enter NG+, you can carry over the weapons and Ninpo that you cleared with during your previous playthrough. However, it’s important to note that these weapons and Ninpo will be reset to level 1 for a fresh challenge.
