Magic: The Gathering’s New Capcom Crossover Is Its Best One Yet

Wizards of the Coast just revealed their next collaboration with Capcom, and many believe it’s their most fitting partnership so far, as it integrates seamlessly with the game.

Magic: The Gathering has recently become well-known for partnering with popular franchises like The Lord of the Rings, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Final Fantasy. These collaborations have ranged from full sets of cards to just a few highly sought-after cards that resellers quickly bought up.

Magic: The Gathering Is Crossing Over With Monster Hunter

Wizards of the Coast recently announced a collaboration with Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise for several Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair releases, as revealed in a now-removed press email. These drops will feature cards inspired by the popular monster-hunting game.

Okay, so I just found out there are four new Secret Lair drops themed around Monster Hunter! They’re going to be available starting Monday, December 1st, 2025, at 9 AM PST and will stay up for sale until Sunday, December 22nd, 2025, at almost midnight PST. Gotta set a reminder – I don’t want to miss these!
