While exploring the infirmary in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Mysteria Eccelesia DLC, you’ll likely meet Maddie. She’s seeking help from the monks, but they’re often too busy to assist her, so it falls to you to lend a hand.

It’s important to complete this quest before finishing the main Anamnesis DLC questline. If you do it afterward, you won’t be able to finish it.

You’ll find Maddie outside the infirmary, and she’ll tell you she’s in a lot of stomach pain. Nobody seems to believe her, and she asks for your help. To start, go inside and speak with Novice Benedict. Listen to what he says, and then ask him to assist Maddie.

He’ll initially say no, but will eventually offer a potion that he believes could help. However, this potion will cause you to fail the quest, so don’t give it to her! Instead, find Albich at the back left of the infirmary and ask for his help. He’ll share a recipe for an anti-inflammatory potion, which requires the following ingredients:

  • Water
  • 1 Nettle
  • 2 Valerian
  • 1 Ginger

You can find Nettle and Valerian growing in the courtyard just outside the infirmary. Ginger is located inside a cabinet in the alchemy room, which is at the back of the infirmary. Once you’ve gathered everything, use the alchemy bench to make the potion.

  • Open the book and prepare your ingredients by holding E.
  • Add water to the cauldron from the jars.
  • Add nettle to the mortar and then grind it with the pestle.
  • Add the nettle to the cauldron.
  • Lower the cauldron for one turn of the timer, then raise it.
  • Add two handfuls of valerian directly to the cauldron.
  • Lower the cauldron for two turns of the timer.
  • Add the ginger to the mortar, then grind it and add it to the cauldron.
  • Use a phial from the left side of the bench and interact with the cauldron to pour.

Head to the building on the north side of the monastery and give the potion to Maddie. That completes the task – there’s no reward, but you’ve done a good deed by helping someone in need.
