With the NFL playoffs underway, Nintendo is letting Nintendo Switch Online members play Madden NFL 26 for free from January 15th to January 21st.
Switch 2 owners will get the complete game, not just a demo, during the free trial. If you decide to buy the full game, your progress will be saved. Plus, Madden NFL 26 is currently on sale for 60% off – it’s available for just $28 until January 25th, down from its regular price of $70.
Madden NFL 26 free on Switch 2 times
- Starts: January 15 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET
- Ends: January 21 at 11:59 PM PT / 2:59 AM ET (January 22)
Madden NFL 26 came out in August 2025 and has been a big success, ranking as the sixth best-selling game in the US for the year. It’s also not the only football game EA offers now, as they brought back their college football series in 2024. However, the college football game isn’t available on Nintendo Switch or the newer Switch 2 console.
The NFL playoffs’ Divisional Round kicks off this Saturday and continues through Sunday. After a week break, the Conference Championships will be played, leading up to Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 8th, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
