Okay, so I’m really excited because the new roster update for Madden 26 is coming out soon! It’s the Divisional Round update, and it’ll bring all the latest changes to the teams – things like trades, free agent signings, and who’s injured. Just a heads-up though, this update only changes the players on the teams, it doesn’t fix any gameplay issues or anything like that. Still, it’s awesome to have the most current rosters when I’m playing against my friends. Let’s get straight to when it’s dropping!
Madden 26 Divisional Round Roster Update Release Date
We’re predicting the roster update for Madden 26’s Divisional Round will be released around Thursday, January 15th, 2025. These updates usually come out mid-week, but it could be delayed until Friday or Saturday. We’re hoping it’s available before the games start this Saturday, so stay tuned for updates!
Speaking of the Divisonal Round, we’ve got four exciting matchups this weekend.
The playoff action kicks off Saturday afternoon with a game between the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos. Last week, the Bills won against the Jaguars thanks to a key defensive turnover. Now, they face a bigger test against the Broncos, who finished the season with a 14-3 record and only lost one game at home. Interestingly, the Jaguars were the only team to beat Denver on their home field, which could be a positive sign for Buffalo.
This Saturday night features a highly anticipated rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers previously upset the Super Bowl champions even while playing with several injured players. This time, they’ll have to face the Seahawks without their star tight end, George Kittle, after Seattle held them to only three points in their last meeting a few weeks ago.
This Sunday, the Houston Texans play the New England Patriots. Both teams have strong defensive strategies led by their head coaches, and solid quarterbacks, promising a competitive game. Last week, the Texans eliminated Aaron Rodgers’ season, and the Patriots stopped Jim Harbaugh from achieving his first playoff victory with the Chargers.
The final game of the week features the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Chicago Bears. The Rams recently defeated Bryce Young and the Panthers, and the Bears once again won a close game in the fourth quarter against the Packers. The weather could play a role, with cold temperatures and potential snow possibly giving Chicago an advantage. However, the Rams shouldn’t be underestimated, as they still have one of the league’s strongest offenses.
The first round is packed with great games, and we’re eager to see how they play out. We anticipate another roster update will follow this week, before the conference championships begin.
