As a seasoned gamer who’s been around the block more times than my old gaming console, I can’t help but be utterly impressed by Ludwig Ahgren’s streaming journey. The man’s impact on the streaming world is nothing short of monumental!
After ending his YouTube agreement, popular streamer Ludwig Ahgren is back on Twitch, showcasing the remarkable influence he’s made on the platform over the past three years.
Last November, Ludwig made waves across the streaming community when he announced that he’d secured an exclusive deal with YouTube, marking a departure from his familiar base at Twitch in search of new opportunities.
Since his previous contract has come to an end, Ludwig finds himself as an unrestricted player, also known as a free agent. To mark this fresh start, he opted for a unique League of Legends streaming event on Twitch.
To put it another way, it’s important to acknowledge that Ludwig has made a significant impact on YouTube over the past three years. The figures from ‘Streams Charts’, which track his live broadcasts, are nothing short of remarkable.
Ludwig gained 50 million views during YouTube contract
Based on data from Streams Charts, Ludwig conducted a grand total of 659 live streams throughout his contract. Impressively, these broadcasts garnered a staggering 50 million hours of viewership and attracted an additional 3.6 million subscribers.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the Streams Charts revealed his most significant live event was the Mogul Chessboxing spectacle held in 2021, reaching a peak of 317,000 live viewers.
Indeed, he’s not just known for that one successful live event. In fact, his response to the viral Dream face reveal attracted an impressive 162,000 viewers, and his live broadcast of the Mogul Money gameshow drew over 146,000 live spectators.
Currently, Ludwig has expressed some uncertainty regarding the direction of his streaming journey. He’s undecided whether he will commit solely to Twitch or YouTube, or if he might switch between platforms in the future.
Indeed, he left no room for ambiguity when stating that he has no intention of shifting his live streams to either Rumble or Kick. As such, it seems these platforms can be ruled out as viable alternatives.
2021 has been quite an eventful year for live streamers such as Ludwig, with notable achievements by others like Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed. For example, Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 shattered Twitch records, while IShowSpeed’s global tours garnered millions of viewers and fans alike.
